When Page Context is enabled, your chatbot automatically captures the content of the page a visitor is browsing and uses it to give more relevant answers. Until now, this feature used a lightweight model with limited context — good for simple pages, but not enough for content-heavy ones.

We've introduced two new enhancement tiers that give your chatbot a much deeper understanding of the page, so it can answer questions accurately even on large, complex pages.

Three Tiers to Choose From

Standard (No Extra Cost)

Works the same as before. The chatbot captures a small portion of the page and uses a lightweight model to understand it. This is sufficient for simple pages with short content.

Enhanced (+0.5 Credits Max)

Uses a more capable model and processes significantly more page content. This tier is ideal for medium-sized pages like product listings, help articles, or blog posts where the standard extraction misses important details.

Ultra (+1 Credit Max)

The most accurate option. Ultra uses advanced semantic extraction with reranking to identify the most relevant parts of even the largest pages. We've tested this on pages with over 100,000 words and it still delivers accurate, context-aware responses.

Smart Billing — You Only Pay When It Matters

The tier you select acts as a cap, not a fixed charge. Extra credits are only deducted when the advanced extraction method is actually invoked:

  • Light pages (short content) — No extra cost, regardless of which tier you've configured
  • Medium pages — Up to +0.5 extra credits with Enhanced or Ultra
  • Large pages — Up to +1 extra credit with Ultra, +0.5 with Enhanced

If a visitor asks a question on a simple page, your chatbot handles it at no extra cost — even if you have Ultra enabled. You're only charged more when the page truly requires deeper processing.

How to Set It Up

  1. Open your chatbot settings and go to the Chat Interface tab
  2. Enable Enable Page Context if it's not already on
  3. Select your preferred enhancement tier: Standard, Enhanced, or Ultra
  4. Save your changes — that's it

The enhancement level applies automatically to all conversations where page context is available.

Why This Matters

With better page understanding, your chatbot can:

  • Answer page-specific questions accurately — "What's the price of this product?" or "What are the shipping options on this page?"
  • Handle content-heavy pages — Long documentation, detailed product specs, or multi-section articles that previously exceeded the extraction limit
  • Reduce irrelevant answers — The chatbot focuses on what's actually on the page instead of relying solely on its training data

If your chatbot is embedded on pages with rich content, upgrading to Enhanced or Ultra can make a noticeable difference in answer quality.
