Notion Retraining: Automatic Sub-Page Sync
Samuel Su
on February 19, 2026Notion retraining now automatically syncs sub-pages, so your chatbot always reflects the latest structure of your Notion workspace.
What Changed
Previously, retraining a Notion data source only updated the content of pages that were already imported. If you added or removed sub-pages in Notion, those changes were not reflected until you manually re-imported the parent page.
Now, retraining automatically detects sub-page additions and deletions. Your chatbot's knowledge stays in sync with your Notion hierarchy without extra steps.
How It Works
- New sub-pages detected — When you retrain a Notion source, the system scans for any sub-pages that were added since the last training and includes them automatically.
- Deleted sub-pages removed — Sub-pages that no longer exist in Notion are removed from the chatbot's training data during retrain.
- No manual action needed — Just click Retrain as usual. Sub-page sync happens in the background.
Benefits
- Always up to date — Your chatbot reflects the current state of your Notion workspace, including nested content.
- Less manual work — No need to delete and re-import pages when your Notion structure changes.
- Consistent data — Avoids stale or orphaned content from deleted sub-pages lingering in your chatbot's knowledge base.
