Chat Data Is Live on the Shopify App Store

Connecting a store used to mean creating a custom app, copying an Admin API access token, registering webhooks by hand, and pasting a script into your theme. All of that is gone — install the app, and your store is connected.
Two Ways to Connect — Choose Before You Install
Both paths give you every capability below. What differs is who bills you and how many agents you can run, and the choice is decided by where you start.
Start in Shopify. Installing from the App Store marks the workspace it creates as a Shopify workspace. Your plan is charged on your Shopify invoice, at the same tiers and prices as billing through Chat Data, and add-ons and credit auto-recharge work the same way. That workspace runs one agent on every tier, connected to the store you are billed for.
Start in Chat Data. Put your workspace on a paid plan first, then connect the store from your agent's Integrations tab. Your workspace is never marked as a Shopify workspace: you stay billed by Chat Data, you keep your plan's full agent allowance, and you choose which agent the store attaches to. The Shopify app costs nothing extra here, and nothing reaches your Shopify invoice.
If you want more than one agent, take the second path. A workspace created by an App Store install stays single-agent for as long as the app is installed.
Set Up in One Click
Whichever path you take, connecting the store wires up the connection, its credentials, and its webhooks for you — there is nothing to copy and nothing to register by hand.
Installing from the App Store goes one step further, because Shopify already tells us which store you mean. Your agent then builds itself from what the store knows: the storefront domain is filled in and the widget is pre-authorized to run there, your product catalog is imported and trained automatically, and Shopify is pre-selected as a deploy channel. Branding, instructions, and every other setting stay fully yours to edit.
A Storefront Widget With No Theme Code
The chat widget now ships as a Shopify Theme App Extension. One Deploy to Shopify storefront click opens your theme editor with the Chat Data embed already switched on — nothing is written into your theme files, so the widget keeps working through theme updates and never has to be re-pasted.
An Agent That Knows Your Store
- Product answers from your real catalog — variants, prices, inventory, and collections, imported as structured records instead of text scraped off your product pages.
- Order tracking without credentials — customers look up an order by number or email and get status, fulfillment and tracking details, line items, and totals.
- A catalog that stays current — product changes are pushed to your agent's knowledge base as they happen.
- Leads in your Shopify admin — contact details the widget captures are mirrored into your Shopify Customers, tagged so you can find them.
